Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, known for their roles in the acclaimed series “Game of Thrones,” are poised to collaborate once more in an upcoming venture within the realm of gothic horror.
Entitled “The Dreadful,” this cinematic endeavor will be helmed by Natasha Kermani, who assumes the directorial reins from a screenplay of her own crafting, as detailed by the entertainment news outlet Deadline.
The narrative unfolds against the tumultuous backdrop of the War of the Roses, where Anne (portrayed by Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen lead an austere existence on the fringes of societal norms.
However, the return of an enigmatic figure (embodied by Harington) from their shared past instigates a series of events that serve as a pivotal juncture for Anne, according to the official synopsis.
Production of “The Dreadful” is spearheaded by Redwire Pictures/Tunnel’s Luke Daniels, in conjunction with Storyboard Media’s Patrick Muldoon and Patrick Hibler, as well as Lucas Jarach. Greg Lauritano also assumes a producing role under his Black Magic banner.
