Vidya Balan slated to feature in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
For the third installment of the franchise, Vidya Balan, who immortalized the character of Manjulika in the 2007 blockbuster, is making a comeback.
Reflecting on her resurgence, Anees remarked, “Consider this, Vidya assented to a 3-day cameo in my film Thank You. I recall reaching out to her, and she promptly accorded her approval. For some inexplicable reason, that gracious act has etched itself in my memory. That was the inception, and here we are today, poised to embark on this journey.”
On Monday, Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram to extend a warm welcome to Vidya Balan and shared a medley of the track ‘Ami Je Tomar’ showcasing the actress gyrating to the melody from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and Kartik from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
In the caption, he inscribed, “And it’s unfolding, Og Manjulika is making a resurgence in the realm of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Ecstatic to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be electrifying #BhoolBhulaiyaa3.”
Vidya Balan’s unforgettable portrayal of Manjulika in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ left a lasting impression on audiences, resonating even today. Kartik Aaryan’s depiction of Rooh Baba in the sequel was also well-received by viewers.
The second installment of the film was helmed by Anees, just like the first one which was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya. In the sequel, Kartik appeared alongside Tabu and Kiara Advani
