Embark on an exhilarating journey with the Delhi NCR Jeep owners group as we venture to Ranthambore over the long weekend of January 26th, 2024. Join us as we navigate the newly constructed Delhi-Mumbai expressway and indulge in the charm of Ranthambore Heritage Haveli.

The Excursion Plan

Originally slated for 8-10 Jeep families, our group finally comprised 5 adventurous families eager to explore the wilderness of Ranthambore.

Day 1: The Expedition Begins

Our journey commenced at 8:45 am from Gurgaon, equipped with finger foods for breakfast and a spirit of camaraderie. Despite dense fog delaying our progress, we braved through to encounter unexpected challenges.

Challenges on the Expressway

Navigating through limited meal options and crowded rest stops, we learned valuable lessons about planning and flexibility.

Arrival at Ranthambore

Upon reaching our destination, we were greeted by narrow roads and unexpected detours, underscoring the importance of local insights over blind reliance on navigation apps.

A Serene Retreat

Grateful for a warm welcome at Ranthambore Heritage Haveli, we spent the evening bonding over bonfires and relishing the tranquility of our surroundings.

Day 2: Wildlife Encounters

Embarking on an early morning safari, some of us braved the chilly winds in hopes of spotting elusive tigers in Zone 6.

While tiger sightings remained elusive, our spirits remained high as we embraced the unpredictability of nature.

Exploring Ranthambore

Opting out of a second safari, we ventured into town, only to be met by traffic jams at Ranthambore fort. Undeterred, we explored Fateh’s cafe and indulged in a Chambal Valley River Safari, spotting crocodiles and cherishing wildlife encounters.
