In a recent incident at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) in Maharashtra, five tourists were found consuming alcohol during a wildlife safari, prompting wildlife management to take action.

The tourists, departing from Moharli Gate, embarked on a safari with hopes of spotting a tiger. However, their journey took an unexpected turn when all members of the group were reported to have consumed alcohol during the excursion.
Swift Intervention and Decisive Action
Alert Tour Guide
The attentive tour guide noticed the inappropriate behavior and promptly intervened, cautioning the tourists against consuming alcohol during the safari. Despite warnings, the behavior persisted, leading the guide to take decisive action.
Notification and Investigation
The gypsy was returned to Moharli Gate, and forest officials were notified of the incident. Following an investigation, it was confirmed that all five tourists were indeed intoxicated.
Consequences and Measures Taken
Fines and Prohibitions
As a consequence of their actions, each tourist was fined INR 5000 and prohibited from future visits to the reserve forests. The Forest Department collected a total of INR 25000 in fines from the offenders.
