So today we will tell you some such methods by which you can easily make soft Dahi Vada like Halwai at home. Urad dal is used to make Dahi Vada. However, if you want, you can also add moong dal to it. So let’s know how to make Dahi Vada?
Ingredients for making Dahi Vada:
Urad dal – 1 cup, 1 pinch of asafoetida, salt to taste, oil, whipped curd, sweet chutney, green coriander chutney, a pinch of black salt, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder
Method of making Dahi Vada:
First step: First of all wash the dal and soak it for 3 to 4 hours. After the stipulated time, remove the water and grind the dal coarsely in the mixer. Do not use water in the dal otherwise the dahi vadas will not be round properly. Now add salt and asafoetida to it and beat it so much that the dal starts looking a little fluffy.
Second step: Put oil in a pan and heat it. Take a little dal and make it round and slowly put it in the pan. If you want, you can also use a cloth and bowl to make the vadas round. Fry the vadas by turning them until they become golden brown.
Third step: Soak the dahi vadas in hot water 15 minutes before serving them. Add salt to this hot water. Now take out the vadas one by one and squeeze them out with your palm to remove the water. Now pour the beaten curd on top and add coriander chutney, black salt, salt, roasted cumin seeds, sweet chutney, add some more curd on top and serve by sprinkling red chilli powder. Tasty dahi bhalle or vadas are ready.
