Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission Impossible 8’ stuck again, budget crosses Rs 3300 crore

If you are waiting for the next part of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible franchise, then this news will disappoint you. The shooting of the film has been stopped once again. This time the reason for the delay in the film is a Rs 250 crore submarine. This submarine being used in the shooting suddenly broke down, after which the shooting was stopped and now efforts are on to repair it. Due to this, the budget of the film has increased further.

According to Mirror UK, the 120-foot submarine was being lowered through a gimbal. During this time it got jammed due to its weight. Now efforts are on to repair it, but due to this incident the production has stopped.

Budget skyrocketing
Due to repairs, the film’s schedule has suffered a loss of several weeks. It is being told that the budget of this film was already sky high, after this incident more money has to be spent. The report states that now the total budget of the film has reached Rs 3324.88 crore (400 million dollars). The production team is upset due to the shooting of the film getting stuck several times because the budget of the film is continuously increasing due to this. It may still take a few more weeks for repair work.

This is the eighth part of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible franchise. It was to be released this summer, but due to getting stuck several times, the film had to be postponed again and again. Reports are now claiming that the film will be released in May next year. However, it is difficult to say at the moment what effect the submarine incident will have on its release.

There will be a sequel to Dead Reckoning
The eighth part will be a direct sequel to ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One’ released in 2023. At present, its sequel has not been named. Tom is going to return as Ethan Hunt in the film. Since the film began production, it has seen many halts. Due to the Hollywood writers’ strike, the shooting of the film was halted in July last year, which was resumed in March.
