Ishq Vishq Rebound Review: The story of ‘Ishq Vishq Rebound’ is entangled in confusion, the second round of love will bore you

The story of the film begins with Raghav (Rohit Sarraf) who is scolded by his boss (Kusha Kapila) for not bringing a good story for the upcoming film named ‘Ishq Vishq 2.0’. While talking to the camera, he takes the film to a flashback when he was in Dehradun, enjoying life to the fullest with his friends Sahir (Jibran Khan) and Sanya (Pashmina Roshan). Sahir and Sanya love each other. The film shows Sahir and Sanya’s relationship as modern-day lovebirds, with breakups and patch-ups happening every day. Since Raghav is their best friend and is emotionally attached to both of them, he plays an important role in bringing them back together every time they fight. But one day, Sahir gets frustrated with his relationship with Sanya and decides to separate to pursue his career under pressure from his strict father. After this, things take a complete 360-degree turn between these three and this forms the essence of the film.

Ishq Vishk Rebound Movie Review: Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan & Jibraan Khan Starrer Is A Mismatch Of Loveless Romance

Direction
The film lacks something when it comes to direction. Nipun Dharmadhikari has tried to showcase the main four characters but has failed to create magic on the big screen. Despite the film being one of the shortest films in terms of runtime, some of its parts seem too stretched. The film becomes a little interesting only in the last 20 minutes, the rest from the beginning till interval and post interval will bore you to the limit.

Acting
Apart from Rohit Saraf, the other two lead actors, Pashmina Roshan and Jibran Khan, will disappoint you with their performances. Jibran has less screen space in the film as compared to Pashmina and Rohit and apart from his cute and good looks, you won’t be impressed by him at all. The only part of Ishq Vishq Rebound that will keep you glued to your seats for some time is Rohit Saraf’s screen presence. He is the center of the film and the actor has done a great job as the friend, son and lover. Pashmina and Jibran, who are making their film debut with Ishq Vishq Rebound, are clearly outdone by Rohit and his character’s performance in this romantic comedy.

‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ Review: How Does One Rebound From This Rohit Saraf-Starrer?

Music
The music of the film also fails to leave any impact on the audience. Except for the reprise version of Ishq Vishq Pyar Vyar and Chot Dil Pe Lagi, none of the songs have the potential to impress the audience. Since the film does not have any big twists and interesting sequences to impress the audience, the background score also fails to live up to the expectations. Overall, the music is just as avoidable as some of the lead characters in the film.

Verdict
If you are planning to watch Ishq Vishq Rebound in theatres this weekend, you can easily avoid it and save 106 minutes of precious time of your life. Rather sit outside a college and enjoy a nice ‘Ishq Vishq’ atmosphere. If you are a fan of Rohit Saraf, we would suggest you watch his popular films like The Sky Is Pink and Hichki instead of watching this sequel of the 2003 film. We give it 2 stars out of five.
