Paramount’s “Bob Marley: One Love” has captured the hearts of millions, as the music biopic chronicling the life of the reggae icon is on track to reach $44 million over six days. Following a solid $6.7 million on Friday, the film is projected to earn $22 million over the three-day weekend and $26.2 million over the four-day holiday period. With a production budget of $70 million, the movie is playing across 3,539 theaters nationwide.

Sony/Marvel’s “Madame Web,” screening at 4,013 theaters, is expected to gross around $3.8 million on Friday, with a projected three-day total of $12 million to $13 million and a four-day haul of $14 million, culminating in a six-day total of $22.2 million. Despite these numbers, audience reception has been lukewarm, with the film receiving only two stars on PostTrak and a 58% approval rating from general audiences.

Meanwhile, Apple Originals Films’ “Argylle,” distributed by Universal and playing at 3,647 theaters, is anticipated to earn $1.1 million on Friday, with a three-day total of $4.2 million (a 33% decline), a four-day total of $5 million, and a cumulative total of $36.7 million by the end of Monday. Illumination/Universal’s “Migration,” showing at 2,455 locations, aims to secure third place over the four-day weekend with $5 million, bringing its total earnings to $116 million by the end of its ninth weekend.

In its tenth weekend, Warner Bros.’ “Wonka” is projected to earn $850,000 on Friday, with a three-day weekend total of $3.6 million (a 20% increase) and a four-day total of $4.5 million, bringing its total earnings close to $211 million.

Outside the top five, Fathom Event’s “Chosen,” season 4, episodes 4-6, is expected to gross $950,000 on Friday, with a three-day total of $3.3 million and a four-day total of $3.8 million, accumulating $4.5 million in total earnings.

“Bob Marley: One Love” raked in $3.85 million on Thursday, experiencing a 73% decline from its record-breaking opening day of $14 million on Wednesday. Nonetheless, the Reinaldo Marcus Green-directed biopic is poised for a strong six-day opening, with estimated earnings ranging between $35 million and $38 million.

“Madame Web” brought in $2.15 million on Thursday, marking a 64% drop from its previous day, resulting in a two-day total of $8.2 million. Despite potential for a $20 million total, the film faces challenges with audience reception, as indicated by its low two-star rating on PostTrak and mixed reviews from general audiences, with 53% of attendees being male and 47% female. Notably, parents and children under 12 gave the film higher ratings, with both demographics awarding it 4½ stars. “Madame Web” is screening at 4,103 locations, including Imax and premium large format screens.
