Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s recent release, Tillu Square, faced a significant drop in its box office collections on its crucial first Monday. Despite hitting double digits on Sunday, the film’s earnings plummeted by over 50% on the fourth day of its release.

According to trade website Sacnilk, Tillu Square garnered approximately Rs 5.5 crore on Monday, marking a noticeable decrease from its weekend earnings. The film’s total domestic collections now stand at Rs 38.05 crore nett. On Monday, it managed an overall occupancy rate of 38.99 percent.

Initial Success

Tillu Square, a Telugu film starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, initially received a positive response, driven by favorable word-of-mouth. By the end of its third day in theaters, the film had amassed Rs 11 crore at the box office.

Sequel Speculations

Following the impressive start, discussions about a potential third installment in the Tillu franchise began to surface. Producer Naga Vamsi hinted at this development, mentioning an impending official announcement. He stated, “We will be making Tillu 3, right now it isn’t announced at the end of Tillu Square. We’ll insert an official announcement from Monday.”

Despite the initial success and positive anticipation for a sequel, Tillu Square encountered a setback with a noticeable decline in box office earnings on its first Monday. However, the speculation about a third installment keeps the audience intrigued about the future of the franchise.
